- General Attention Seeking Behaviors
- Wandering and Elopement Risks
Our facility manages care for both behavioral and physical needs and offers our residents the ability to thrive within a secured, supervised environment. Each of our four distinct buildings house 20 residents in which they are properly staffed to manage our residents' needs. In addition, we do offer one-on-one care at an additional cost if needed.
We are also privileged to have both medical and psychiatric doctors available who can respond and help manage our residents' care needs 24 hours a day contributing to a decrease in hospital admissions of your loved one.
Much like a family, our patient, hands-on employees spend a large majority of time with your loved one and are trained to recognize changes in behavior and are involved in extensive training specifically related to those exhibiting disruptive behaviors, as well as those with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Staff longevity provides consistency in our residents' daily routine and individualized care plans are designed for each resident based on their pre-admission assessment, which allows our community the acceptance of these unique behaviors.

"If you are considering placement of your loved one who has behavioral problems in a senior care facility, I recommend in the strongest terms Courtyard Manor of Farmington Hills. After several psychiatric hospitalizations and failed attempts at living in other assisted living communities, Dad moved into Courtyard Manor and the staff was able to manage his unique behaviors which included outbursts, refusal of care, and other attention-seeking behaviors. The hands-on approach, training and patience of the staff is incredible and what I truly believe made the difference for my father."
Sincerely, J. M.
